Your boat tour begins at Palo Verde National Park, a bird sanctuary with more than 275 aquatic and terrestrial species. You will also be able to spot iguanas, crocodiles, and monkeys. After a full immersion in nature, you will head to the picturesque town of Ortega, where Doña Katia welcomes you into her home for lunch. She will also share her secrets for preparing the best corn tortillas!
Your next stop is the town of Guaitil, inhabited by the Chorotegas, a local indigenous tribe. Here, the ancient tradition of crafting pottery is preserved. No matter where you look, the settlers take pride in this artistic heritage, as the main and almost only activity in town!
